Leslie Howson

Leslie is a registered architect and practitioner in urban designer with considerable experience in both disciplines. My company Urban Design Solutions Ltd urbandesignsolutionsltd.co.uk is a small Edinburgh based urban design practice established in 2000, to provide urban design services to local authorities, developers, community councils, community groups, also to architectural practices who may not have this particular expertise in house. The company has had commissions in all these sectors. Leslie is active in several other areas in the urban planning sector, including on the RIAS Environment Housing & Town Planning committee, on the City of Edinburgh Council's pre-application project board, as well as representing the Edinburgh Chartered Architects Network on planning matters. He also writes on urban design issues in the architectural press as well as contributing to local and national consultations on planning and urban issues.
