Druids Heath Regeneration
We are currently working with Birmingham City Council and the Homes and Communities Agency to prepare a Masterplan and Options Investment Strategy for the Druids Heath area of Birmingham, an area identified as being in need of significant investment and transformational change. There are around 2,250 properties in the area with problems such as poor-quality stock/layouts and high levels of anti-social behaviour.
Following initial assessment and engagement work we developed a robust understanding of the area, from the perspectives of the community and the council, also considering the environmental and technical context. This assessment informed the generation and evaluation of options to identify the optimum approach to improving the area. In preparation for public consultation on the options an interactive three dimensional model has been prepared to illustrate the proposals. Following consultation, the preferred option will be selected and a clearance plan, refurbishment plan and cost plan will be prepared along with a 30 year Housing Revenue Investment Plan.
