On the 30th of June 2014 we changed our company name to Thrive Architects from Tetlow King. We thought very carefully about our old name, and while it has served us well, it was time for us to move on looking to the future and position of the company. The change reflects the way we work, the management structure and the quality and breadth of services we provide.
Thrive Architects have extensive experience in urban design and masterplanning, particularly on challenging and sensitive sites for residential, retirement care and mixed-use low carbon communities. We are committed to promoting sustainable design through problem solving and a practical solution based approach. We put particular emphasis on place-making, through collaborative design with a clear vision that we champion throughout every project.
Thrive has a reputation for delivering on the most challenging of projects. The practice has been recognised with numerous awards for its high quality approach to design. In 2010 the development at Fairfield Park in Bedfordshire was awarded Building for Life Gold Award status and is the largest multi-developer scheme to be awarded this accolade.
Our approach is distinctive in that we are experienced at delivering masterplanning projects from inception through to detailed planning and construction stages. It is our in-depth knowledge of each stage of the design and construction process that ensures our designs are properly implementable, commercially attractive and of high quality. Our approach is strengthened by our sustainability expertise and in-house team of Code for Sustainable Homes, SAP and BREEAM assessors who help to ensure integration of sustainable principles early in the design process to create low carbon communities.
