TEP - The Environment Partnership

TEP provides independent planning and design advice with a strong emphasis on personal service. Our award-winning multi-disciplinary team has a track record of delivering complex projects for private, public and voluntary sector clients.

TEP strives to shape a sustainable environment across our Masterplanning schemes, from large scale strategic development frameworks to outline site layout design and detailed landscape and public realm. Over the last twenty years we have grown steadily by sticking to our core skills and have a track record of delivering high-quality and sustainable development. Our commitment to sustainability is displayed by our position as the only UK environmental consultancy to offer full scope carbon neutrality under British Standard PAS 2060.

Our Approach

No two places or projects are the same and TEP’s professionals are experienced in both leading and supporting multi-disciplinary teams, identifying practical solutions that work well for the place and for the client.  We believe in the power of teamwork, both in the way we organise ourselves and in the way we work with communities involved with our projects.

Our integrated team of town planners, urban designers and landscape architects have extensive experience providing successful masterplans for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments in a range of urban and rural locations.

We acknowledge that shaping the identity of a new housing, leisure or business location involves balancing interconnected and often competing priorities. Our creative know-how adds value to schemes, integrating environmental, social and economic aspirations into the masterplanning process to achieve viable and sustainable solutions to complex constraints.

Project Delivery

TEP delivers successful Urban Design projects with the support of robust technical expertise offered by our in-house ecology, arboriculture, heritage, landscape assessment and landscape management teams, based across our five UK offices. We seek to understand localised issues by engaging with communities through meaningful consultation.

We regularly engage with sub-consultants who specialise in engineering, transport planning, highways design, architecture, economic planning and property, streamlining processes to meet clients’ aspirations.

Masterplanning is core to our client offer and we have recently invested in the expansion of our integrated team of Urban Designers, Town Planners and Landscape Architects to promote our placemaking capabilities. We endeavour to create innovative and landscape led masterplans that address environmental constraints whilst balancing commercial, place making and public interest objectives. We provide the vision, technical expertise, creative drive and pragmatism necessary to deliver successful masterplans, development frameworks, public realm strategies and design guides.

Our Urban Design service is complemented by in-house 3D Visualisation, Environmental Planning and GIS teams, who are experienced in demonstrating a robust case for deliverable development with refined graphical outputs.

TEP’s award-winning team has a proven track record of delivering creative vision, technical robustness and personal service to clients. Our sustainable ethos, creativity and pragmatism continue to shape places for the better across the UK.
