Assael Architecture Limited

Through our masterplans, we want to create thriving communities, where infrastructure supports business and society and where all dimensions of sustainability are embedded into the design. We want them to be viable, commercially sound and economically sustainable over the long-term, so they can be built and deliver the benefits they promise.

We realise the potential of complicated sites in sensitive locations through an iterative design process from local neighbourhood interventions, through to a large-scale regeneration projects, often working with heritage assets to suit an ever-changing environment.

Key to our success is our relationships with clients, collaborations with consultants and dialogue with local authorities, and, at the heart of it, our commitment to understanding local communities. We work with ethnographers, landscape architects, surveyors, planning and transport consultants to assess urban and townscape character and the appropriate built form, uses, as well as permeability and accessibility. We spend time with local residents, workers and stakeholders to ensure our proposals are in line with their aspirations as well as our client’s brief.

We offer urban design and masterplanning services, including appraisals, design briefs, data collection, and design solutions for outline planning submissions, often supported by design codes and visual impact assessments.

We are diligent and professional, we have character and creativity, we deliver clever ideas based on an intimate understanding of what makes a place work.
