Allies and Morrison Urban Practitioners

Allies and Morrison Urban Practitioners is an architecture, urban design and urban planning practice.  We designed our Southwark Street studio which won the RIBA London Building of the Year award in 2004.  The practice also has an office in Liverpool.

Allies and Morrison has an extensive and varied portfolio of completed projects throughout the UK and is currently engaged on a wide range and scale of projects across all sectors including residential, hotels, offices, health, education and culture.  The practice is also currently undertaking work in Malaysia, The Netherlands, Qatar and Kenya.

Allies and Morrison brings to all its projects the same detailed approach which responds to the existing context to design buildings, places and spaces which are sensitive and sustainable.  Public consultation is a key aspect in all of our projects.  We have a proven track record of devising and delivering consultation and engagement processes which are transparent, accountable and make a meaningful contribution to the design process.  We are assisting public and private sector clients in the preparation of planning policy and masterplans and we are also working with communities on the preparation of Neighbourhood Plans.

The practice received the 2014 Building Design Awards for Masterplanner of the Year and Education Architect of the Year and has won 32 RIBA Awards.

Our book on place making, The Fabric of Place, was published in 2014.
